Identifying Symptoms that Might Lead to Crisis in the Workplace
The Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the March monthly program --- Identifying Symptoms that Might Lead to Crisis (i.e. Mental Health & Domestic Violence in the Workplace --- on Friday, March 17. The keynote speakers will be Sarah Froimson, MPH - program manager and Mae Bennett, LSW/MSW - program coordinator, Jewish Family Service Association, Drost Family Center. Among other items, Froimson and Bennett will talk about, with proper training, how to recognize abuse and steer victims to help and how business professionals and owners can become invaluable and influencial partners in the fight against domestic violence. Froimson is the program manager of Jewish Family Service Association's Family Violence Services. She attended Tulane University and received a master's degree in public health with a focus on maternal and child health and health education Bennett is the program coordinator of JFSA's Family Violence Services. She attended Case Western Reserve University and received a master's degree in social work. The speakers will demonstrate how to identify potential victims of intimate partner violence and how to effectively respond to victims of abuse. Froimson has extensive knowledge on program planning, evaluation and monitoring as well as in the field of domestic violence. Bennett is a licensed social worker with more than 10 years experience working as a victim's advocate. The speakers will demonstrate how to grow a culture that is intolerant of all forms of abuse and promotes safety in the workplace and they will demonstrate how to quickly access expert consultation and help for company employees. The meeting will be held at the Villa Croatia Event Venue & Party Center (The Croatian Lodge), 34900 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake, OH 44095, with registration beginning at 11:15 a.m. The cost of the event is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
