November 2016 LCSC - Water Testing and Health & Safety Issues
The Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the November monthly program Water Testing and Health & Safety Issues -- on Friday, November 18. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Nancy Rodway, medical director, Lake County General Health District. Rodway, who is board certified in occupational health and pathology, will be speaking with Dan Lark, RS/REHA, and the director of environmental health at the Lake County General Health District. They will be discussing: ---Where our drinking water comes from ---How it is processed to make it potable ---The state of the water pipe lines in the area ---The medical consequences of water impurities Rodway earned her medical degree from Ohio State University, and completed residences at Summa Health System and the University of Pennsylvania. She received her master's degree in public health from the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites LaMalfa, with registration beginning at 11:15 a.m. The cost of the event is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
