BWC Programming and Safety Grant Update 2013
The Lake County Safety Council is proud to host Mike Rienerth, BWC Interim Director of Technical Services and Ergonomics Technical Advisor at the Friday, June 21 Lake County Safety Council meeting. At the meeting Rienerth, who has a bachelor of science degree in industrial and systems engineering from Ohio University and a master of science degree in occupational safety and health from Columbia Southern University, will discuss and provide updates on BWC programming and safety grants for 2013. Among other items, he will present an overview of the BWC safety intervention grant program and provide examples of safety intervention grants from various industries. He will provide updates on upcoming changes to the safety intervention grant program, list employer action steps to getting BWC safety intervention grants and discuss BWC safety classes in the Northeast Ohio area. Rienerth has worked for the BWC for 27 years, 24 as an ergonomics consultant, and has served as a continuing education instructor for Cleveland State University. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites LaMalfa, with registration beginning at 11:15 a.m. The cost of the event is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
