The steering committee for the Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the November virtual/webinar program (Part One of a Two Part Series) --- Back to the Basics - OSHA Requirements; Ladders and Walking Working Surfaces; Industrial Hygiene; PPE and Respiratory Protection - with keynote speaker Brian Basbagill, CSP, senior consultant at SafeX. The program is from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021. This training event is provided to you by the LCSC steering committee. The presentation covers critical items concerning the importance of basic regulatory compliance requirements and best practives, making sure the employer is covering the basics for each regulation to keep employees safe. Part One of the Two-Part Series will discuss: OSHA Requirements - Performance Based vs Specification Based Ladders and Walking Working Surfaces Industrial Hygiene Monitoring - Noise, Chemical Exposure and Ventilation PPE - Personal Protective Equipment Respiratory Protection Programs Basbagill is a certified safety professional with more than 22 years of construction and manufacturing safety experience. In addition to 15 years of safety consulting, he has worked in manufacturing as a health, safety and environmental (HSE) leader and performed various safety roles in construction. He is an OSHA authorized instructor for 10-hour and 30-hour construction safety training. He has presented various topics for local trade associations, at the Ohio Safety Congress and at the American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition. Part Two of the Two-Part Series on December 9 will discuss: Emergency Action Plans; Confined Spaces; Powered Industrial Trucks; Hazard Communications and 40 CFR 260-279 Resource Conservation & Recovery Act.
