LCSC presentes - Safety & Budget Pressures
The steering committee for the Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the June monthly program --- Safety & Budget Pressures --- on Friday, June 15. The keynote speaker will be Scott D. Cole, Ohio EH&S Director (CSP, SMS, LEED GA) for Turner Construction Company. He will provide essential information on how to balance and coordinate safety concerns, issues and planning with company budget considerations. Cole grew up in Madison and graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in business management and business administration. He is a Board Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Safety Management Specialist (SMS) and LEED Green Associate as well as a Certified Occupational Safety Sepcialist (COSS). He holds certification from Ohio University, Ohio State University and Texas A&M University. His safety experience includes work in manufacturing, government and construction. Cole currenly works full time for Turner Construction as the Ohio Environmental, Health and Safety Director. His presentation will cover numerous topics as they related to safety and budgeting concerns. In addition to his work at Turner Construction, Cole is a safety consultant, and an active volunteer supporting the safety profession in the community. He has served as the director of the Lake County Safety council and currently is on the board of directors. The meeting will be held at the Villa Croatia Event Venue & Party Center (The Croatian Lodge), 34900 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake, OH 44095, with registration beginning at 11:15 a.m. The cost of the event is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
