LCSC Safety Expo - Friday, May 18
The steering committee for the Lake County Safety Council is proud to present the 2018 LCSC Safety Expo on Friday, May 18. More than 20 seminars and training sessions will be presented at the event.
The keynote speakers are Steve and Judy Uzelas. They will address safety in the context of "It IS all about you!. They have a life expectancy/safety and health story one attendee said will "inspire you to place safety, health and wellness at the top of you life's priority list." Training sessions at the event include: How to Hire a Safety Person, Lock Out-Tag Out, Hazard Communications, Hearing Conservation, Fall Protection and Natural Disaster Preparedness. Also presented will be a complete A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter Evacuate) multi-session class, and Heart Saver/First Aid seminars with instructional/educational materials and a Heartsaver CPR AED card for everyone who completes the class. The event, hosted by Lakeland Community College, begins with registration and a Continential breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and the keynote presentation at 8:15 a.m. Classes begin immediately following the keynote presentation. Lunch begins about 11:45 a.m. Attendance at the LCSC Sqafety Expo qualifies for safety council rebate program external training credit and group rating two-hour training creidt with submission of a certificate of attendance to a sponsoring organization. Lake County Safety Council members will receive one regular safety council rebate meeting credit. There will be more than two dozen vendors attending the event as well, presenting a wide variety of merchandise and services. Early registration is requiared for these classes due to the need to order the printed support materials in advance of the event. Registration is open for the event, and some classes already have filled up.
